Exploring was a huge part of my childhood. Stomping through creeks, catching grasshoppers in the field and swimming in lakes were all some of my favorite activities. When I look back on being a kid I can remember those adventures vividly. There are specific trips and experiences that I will never forget.

So when I found out about the reCAP EXPLORE I knew this was a product I could support. This lid is the world’s first glow-in-the-dark magnifier for Mason jars. What a cool idea! Who hasn’t captured a bug in a jar and watched it crawl around?

All of the details were thought about when creating this lid, including breathing holes to keep those critters alive. The makers describe the reCAP as follows:

The reCAP EXPLORE is a plastic flip cap for Regular Mouth Mason jars. It features a removable magnifying lid with breathe holes that allows kids (and adults, too) to get a closer look at the natural environment.

Right now the reCAP is available on Kickstarter. You can back the project up until October 14th when the crowdfunding will close. In addition to the lid, there are a lot of great rewards available with the campaign.
